Passions & Philanthropy
A Passion for People - My love for what I do has helped me become quite well known for
my passionate public speaking. I have been Keynote speaker for the
Gourmet Foods Association Convention in 2003, guest speaker at the
NW Restaurant Show in 2003, Cascadia Culinary Conference on Whidbey
Island and a guest speaker at the inaugural International Conference
on Culinary Tourism in Victoria, B.C. in 2004.
The Joy of Philanthropy - Philanthropy is one of my most notable passions. Every year I give
away my services and resources to support a number of local and
national charities. I have had the pleasure of working with many
amazing charities, including: Meal-a-Gram for Loaves and Fishes
in 2002, Chefs Dinner Extraordinaire for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation,
Innovative Services, and Boys and Girls Clubs, as well as a number
of elementary and private schools.
In 2003 I was honored with a nomination for the Oregon Restaurant
Association Community Service Award.
